    Waste and recycling

    HHGE is famous!
Two recent requests underline the special character of our Estate. HHGE is being considered as the location for a new 1930s Stephen Poliakoff drama about Ealing Studios, and Ralph Ward, a photography degree student at Camberwell College of Arts, has been out and about on the Estate as part of a project on the English suburbs. We hope to be able to show some of his work on the website in due course. November 1st, 2011

    2011 Annual General Meeting
The 2011 AGM was held on Thursday 14 April at the Church of the Holy Family, Vale lane. Minutes will be posted in due course. Click here for minutes of the meeting. November 1st, 2011

    December freeze
The coldest December for 100 years saw 10cm of snow fall on the Estate in little more than 2 hours. Click here to read John Stone, HHGERA's very own resident meteorologist, explain what was behind the unusual conditions and just how cold it got! January 9th, 2011

    HHGERA Treasurer
Victor Jundi has stepped down after a long and highly successful term as treasurer of the Residents' Association. Victor's patience, persistence and meticulous attention to detail were matched only by his sense of service to our community in this demanding but voluntary role. Janet Ford, his successor, will doubtless be in touch shortly seeking subscriptions for 2011.December 29th, 2010

    Houses Volunteer Subscription Collectors needed
Can anyone spare a little time to help collect Houses Residents Association annual subscriptions? The Estate is managed entirely by volunteers and your £35 annual subscription is an extremely modest charge to pay for maintenance of all the service roads and communal gardens as well as projects such as the installation of service gates. If you can spare the time to help collect subscriptions, please contact the Treasurer. It only takes a few hours a year and is a good chance not only to give something back to the Estate, but also to get to know your neighbours!

    HHGE on TV
The One Show - BBC 1's prime time magazine show - featured the Estate on Friday November 13th in a report by John Sergeant on suburbia. The programme was filmed in early October and includes interviews with Bill Bailey, HHGERA chairman, and Dr Vesna Goldsworthy, Director of the Centre for Suburban Studies at Kingston University, the leading authority on Suburbia. Safer Neighbourhoods scheme
The Safer Neighbourhoods programme places a small team of police and community support officers at local authority ward level to reduce crime and nuisance, and bring policing closer to the community. Our local team, covering Hanger Hill ward, is holding a series of drop-in surgeries where residents can come and discuss local issues with a member of the team. Each session is held from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Ashbourne Parade, Hanger Lane, W5 3QS. Click here for further information about the scheme, including a link to the Safer Neighbourhoods website which has a full list of surgery dates. April 14th 2009

    Ward forum
The Hanger Hill Ward Forum meets quarterly and is a chance to discuss current issues with our councillors, Diana Pagan, Nigel Sumner and Benjemin Dennehy. The Forum is part of an initiative to improve communications between communities and local government. Minutes and other information are available on the Ealing Council website by clicking hereNovember 2nd 2009

    Service road gates
Keys can be ordered from the estate office at Japan Services 2 Queens Drive, near West Acton station. No parking signs have been erected at each gate.  Residents should please note that parking is not permitted on any part of the service roads, in order to ensure access for emergency vehicles.
