This information has been provided by the Hanger Hill Police Safer Neighbourhood Ward Team
The Safer Neighbourhoods programme attaches a small team of police and community support officers to a local area at local authority ward level - in our case, the Hanger Hill team. At the time of writing (November 2011) this included a police sergeant, one constables and four Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).
Their role is to work with the community and local authorities to reduce crime and disorder and deal with the local issues that affect the quality of life. Members of the Hanger Hill team are as follows:
Police Sergeant Helene HOLLOWAY
Police Constable Karl FREE
PCSO Ikram SYED
PCSO Rene BIRO
PCSO Suhael ABUBAKER
PCSO Yu ZHANG
The team is not a substitute for the 999 emergency service, which should be contacted if immediate Police, Fire or Ambulance assistance is needed. Team members can often be seen in and around the Estate and welcome talking to residents directly. They can also be contacted on 07879-694830 or via e-mail click-through at https://secure.met.police.uk/saferneighbourhoods/index_sn.php?rid=2155.
